FAQ's
Who is Graham Hart?
Actually, there isn’t anyone named Graham Hart. The company is named after two of Founder Shawn Goff’s four sons.
Can you build from my floor plan?
Yes. Although some of our communities have standard plans to choose from, we welcome the opportunity to build you a home based on a floor plan that you bring us. We can also work with architects to design a home that meets your family’s needs.
Do the financial benefits of owning a home really outweigh renting?
Yes. Most people spend 5-10 years living in an apartment. With a $750 rent payment, that amounts to $45,000 in just 5 years with no return and no investment in your family’s future. In addition to making an investment, you will receive tax benefits from home ownership.
What if I don’t know how to begin or what questions to ask?
That’s why we are here. Please don’t hesitate to call on us to answer any of your questions at any time. We are here to make the home buying process as easy as possible and as enjoyable as possible.
What if I don’t have perfect credit?
Although good credit helps, you don’t need perfect credit to build a new home. Every year we build homes for families who, at some point, have had credit problems. Don’t let past credit problems stop you from talking to us. We will work very hard to get you in your dream home.
How long will it take to complete my home?
The building process will take approximately five to six months from contract acceptance. This may vary per neighborhood depending on weather, selections being received, size of home, difficulty of plans, and the number of homes already scheduled to close in the months ahead.
Can I make changes to your plans?
Absolutely. We have processes in place that allow you to easily communicate to us the changes you would like to make to a particular floor plan. We work with you throughout this process to ensure that your questions are answered and that all of your desired changes are incorporated into your new home.
Will you build on land that we already own?
Yes, we have a process for doing that. Because of building laws and the complicated process of building a house, we will only do this if we purchase the land from you (or for you if someone else currently owns the land). We then handle all interim financing for you during the construction process. We have found that this is the best method for all parties.
